Can the broker trigger an configurable action when it receives a message for a certain destination?

Issue

Is it is a possibility for ActiveMQ to perform an action (start another application for example) once a messages is received on a queue?
This could be useful for message types that arrive only from time to time (say once per day or even less frequently) - so there is no need to run a process waiting for them, but it is started on demand instead.
