nslcd fail with error "ldap_start_tls_s() failed: Connect error: No such file or directory"

Issue

  • Nslcd fails to authenticate after kick-started.

Oct  1 21:34:25 vmtest nslcd[26412]: [8b4567] failed to bind to LDAP server ldap://ldapmaster.example.com: Connect error
Oct  1 21:34:25 vmtest nslcd[26412]: [8b4567] no available LDAP server found, sleeping 1 seconds
  • The issue only happens when it is the reboot after kickstart. Subsequent reboots seem to be OK.
