RHEL 6 tput command in /etc/profile.d/colorls.csh fails

Issue

  • If the $TERM environment variable is undefined, as in an at job or in a non-interactive tcsh shell, the tput command in the /etc/profile.d/colorls.csh script fails, producing the following message:
tput: No value for $TERM and no -T specified
