Allow logconv.pl -S/-E switches to work even when timestamps are not present in access.log

Issue

Current version of logconv.pl requires that the Start/End dates specified on the command line with the -S / -E switches does exist in the log files and the sub-string must match exactly.
We'd like to be able to specify a Start and End date for the analysis without the need that those exact dates are listed in the log file verbatim. This implies that the tool should be able to perform a comparison like: "after start date" and "before end date".

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5, 6 and 7
  • Red Hat Directory Server 9.x
