Modifying listen_addresses in the postgresql.conf used by a postgres-8 resource does not result in that instance listening on the specified address in a RHEL 5 or 6 High Availability cluster with rgmanager
Issue
- The
postgresqlconfiguration file in/etc/cluster/postgres-8does not get automatically updated when the master copy is changed. - If I change my
postgresconfiguration file to have a newlisten_address, the next time the service is startedpostgresisn't listening on that address - Why is the
listen_addressesline from mypostgresql.confspecified in thepostgres-8resource'sconfig_fileattribute commented out in the cluster-generated version?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 with the High Availability Add On
rgmanager- One or more
postgres-8resources
