A resource or resource group will not start and simply stays in a "Stopped" state without any errors being displayed in a RHEL 6 or 7 High Availability cluster with pacemaker

Issue

  • I'm running pcs resource enable, but the resource just stays in the "Stopped" state in pcs output.
  • My resource group won't start if I try to enable it, and there are no errors or indications why its not starting

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 or 7 with the High Availability Add On
  • pacemaker
