Unable to start firefox after security update.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After performing a "yum update --security" , firefox-31.2.0-3.el6_6.x86_64 no longer runs. Getting following error when trying to start it:
$ firefox
/usr/lib64/firefox/firefox: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/firefox/libxul.so: undefined symbol: gdk_window_get_visual
  • After updating Firefox, browser will not launch.
  • Seems there is some dependency that didn't get included. How to resolve this issue ?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5
  • firefox-31.2.0-3.el6_6.x86_64
  • gtk2-2.20.1-4.el6.x86_64
