qpid broker segfaults when receiving durable messages in parallel

Issue

qpid broker segfaults when:

  • using linearstore from MRG-M 3.0
    • linearstore has empty EFP (Empty File Pool, a pool with empty journal files to be re-utilized, EFP is empty by default)
  • sending many durable messages concurrently
    • when each such message is enqueued into multiple queues, the segfault occurs sooner

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise MRG Messaging 3.0.0
    • qpid-cpp of version 0.22-49
