Issue

  • Broadcom tg3 NIC module stops responding when using jumbo frames (large MTU).
  • Setting a larger MTU stops tg3 based NICs from sending or receiving traffic.
  • Under certain circumstances when MTU is set > 1500 the NIC drops all frames > 1500 bytes.
