The system with "lin_tape" driver in debug mode hangs after soft-lockup messages.
Issue
- System is crashing with the following in the messages file
Sep 23 04:01:33 example kernel: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 67s! [db2sysc:24682]
Sep 24 03:07:01 example kernel: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 67s! [db2sysc:24272]
Sep 20 08:01:51 example kernel: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#23 stuck for 67s! [db2sysc:55055]
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- IBM lin_tape driver in debug mode
