How do I add a RHEV resource to CloudForms Management Engine where RHEV-M and its database run on separate hosts or instances?

Issue

  • My RHEV environment has different hosts or instances for RHEV-M and its database.
  • Unable to use C&U on RHEV providers with separate DWH servers
  • When adding a RHEV resource as an infrastructure provider to CloudForms Management Engine, how do I specify the separate hostname of the database instance or host?

Environment

  • Red Hat CloudForms 4.0 or earlier.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.
  • RHEV-M database in a different host than RHEV-M.
