Server unresponsive ("megasas: RESET")

Issue

  • Host suddenly became almost unresponsive about a couple of hours ago. Looking at the /var/log/messages file, we see the following:
kernel: megaraid_sas: HBA reset handler invoked without an internal reset condition.
kernel: megaraid_sas: no more pending commands remain after reset handling.
kernel: megasas: reset successful
kernel: sd 0:2:0:0: megasas: RESET -304134327 cmd=2a retries=0
  • Could this have caused the server to become unresponsive?
