cgroups don't work with /etc/cgconfig.d directory.

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • cgroups don't work with /etc/cgconfig.d directory
  • cgconfig service does not read /etc/cgconfig.d directory
  • According to the following document cgroups should work with conf files in the /etc/cgconfig.d directory.
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Resource_Management_Guide/ch-Using_Control_Groups.html#The_cgconfig.d_directory
  • I have created the /etc/cgrules.d dircetory and placed files in there but a restart of cgconfigd does not appear to pick them up.
  • What is the proper syntax and configuration for this modification to work?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5
  • libcgroup-0.40.rc1-5.el6_5.1.x86_64
