  • What are our options for installing Red Hat software offline.
    • We have a situation where we're being blocked by a firewall from registering with RHN at the moment. We'd like to start installing Red Hat Software.

Resolution

Red Hat offers a product to help with off line and disconnected installs / updates called Satellite. However you can also update your system with out an internet connection as well.

In short using reposync or createrepo are often a popular solution for most customers, if they do not have a Satellite. You can also use Red Hat Enterprise Linux updates with out Satellite guide, however the links above are often more helpful.
