Unable to add group members to a group in IPA

ipa group-add-member groupname --groups=group1,group2,group3

Unable to add multiple groups to a group in IPA using command ipa group-add-member groupname --groups=group1,group2,group3
ipa group-add-member groupname --groups=group1,group2,group3 fails on RHEL7 which used to work in RHEL6
ipa hostgroup-add-member hostgroupname --hosts=host1,host2,host3 fails on RHEL7
