Non root users can not interact with docker following docker-1.1.2-13.el7.x86_64 update.

Issue

  • After applying the docker update, docker doesn't seem to work for non-root users.
    • Members of the docker group can not interact with the docker process and are seeing the following:
$ docker ps -a                                                                                                                 
2014/09/22 13:38:49 Get http:///var/run/docker.sock/v1.13/containers/json?all=1: dial unix /var/run/docker.sock: permission denied

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0
    • Updating docker-0.11.1-22.el7.x86_64 to docker-1.1.2-13.el7.x86_64
