Cannot add Host with error "The Host name is already in use" or "Host with the same address already exists"
Issue
- Add Host failed with the following error message:
Error while executing action: Cannot add Host. Host with the same address already exists.
- And
Error while executing action: Cannot add Host. The Host name is already in use, please choose a unique name and try again
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.4 and older versions.
- Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor release 6.5 (20140725.0.el6ev)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux hosts.
