XStream - processAnnotations

Issue

I've noticed that if you use the dataformats xstream node via blueprints, you can only define aliases at class level and not variables.

To get around this, i've created my own XStreamDataFormat. This loops over the aliases and calles xstream.processAnnotations.

Is there not an inbuilt / easier way to do this? As it seems strange that i'd need to do this.
