Document prints with white stripes in large image in Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The PostScript file has a large image in it. This gives striped images on all versions of ghostscript in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.7 and 6.0. It prints fine on PostScript printers but on non-PostScript printers where RHEL uses ghostscript to render, it gives the stripes again. It runs fine on ghostscript 7.07 (RHEL 4).

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Printing to a non-PostScript (e.g. PCL) printer
