How to setup zookeeper cluster with BRMS/BPMS
Issue
- Current documentation only describes cluster in one physical machine. How to setup multiple zookeeper cluster nodes?
- My understanding of the BRMS 6 Clustering instructions is that zookeeper and helix services are run on only one node. Are Zookeeper service and Helix service single point of failure in cluster? Is it possible to avoid those single points of failure?
- The
Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite 6.2.0
installation guide gives instructions on how to configure aBPM Suite
cluster onRed Hat JBoss EAP 6.4
installation. However, it appears (from the example) to be a cluster whereby all managed servers within the domain are on the same host i.e. allBPM Suite
clustered nodes are on the same machine. Can you advice how those installation instructions would differ in order to create a 2-node cluster where each node is on a separate host? Users are quite familiar withEAP 6
clustering anddomain mode
concepts, but this kind of requirement would require specific knowledge about the components ofBPM Suite clustering
(i.e. Helix and Zookeeper) and what all things should be kept in mind while configured throughEAP 6 Domain Mode
. - What are the recommendations for installation and configuration of a
BPMS 6.2
multi-node cluster, where different nodes of the cluster under one domain are placed remotely in separate systems from each other? For example, is it necessary to re-run theBPMS
installer on top of the existingEAP 6.4
set-up on each node, or can users just install it on the domain controller, then re-run theEAP
installer on each managed node and copy its slave configuration from theDomain Controller
? Or should users run theBPMS
clustered installer on each node, and then only start up one host on each node and connect it to theDomain Controller
?
