Why the client receives the message 'Couldn't read packet: Connection reset by peer' when trying to access sftp chroot ?
Issue
When using sftp on a chrooted account, the following error is shown:
[root@localhost ~]# sftp skf@192.168.122.68
skf@192.168.122.68's password:
Write failed: Broken pipe
Couldn't read packet: Connection reset by peer
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- openssh-5.3p1-94.el6
- chrooted sftp environment
