"default" used as a group name in cgroups is no longer an option

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • We use 'default' as a groupname in cgconfig.conf and cgrules.conf.
  • In RHEL6.5, this causes the cgconfig service to fail on startup with the following error message:

Starting cgconfig service: error at line number 30 at default:syntax error

  • On previous versions of RHEL6 this was no issue.

  • Changing default to something else, fixes the problem.
  • This is a change in behaviour from RHEL6.4 and earlier to RHEL6.5.

Environment

  • Red Hat Entreprise Linux (RHEL) 6.5
  • libcgroup-0.40
