"clusvcadm -F -e" fails with "#66: Domain <domain> specified for resource group service:<service> nonexistent!" in a RHEL 5 or 6 High Availability cluster

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The following command clusvcadm -e <service_name> -F fails with an error message saying domain nonexistent but starts successfully when the -F option is omitted:
clurgmgrd[56699]: <warning> #66: Domain 'foo_domain' specified for resource group service:service_name nonexistent!

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 or 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • rgmanager
  • Either the domain specified for the service does not exist in /etc/cluster/cluster.conf, or the <failoverdomains> section is not contained within the <rm> block
