corosync CPU usage spikes briefly whenever a resource operation takes place in a RHEL 6 High Availability cluster with rgmanager

Issue

  • CPU usage by corosync spikes on the active node
  • I see higher CPU usage from corosync while resource operations are running
  • corosync CPU usage goes up when resources are logging messages
  • Why do I see a long string of corosync CONFDB lib_init_fn and exit_fn messages frequently?
