Random Validation Errors in JBDS and Teiid designer

Issue

We are migrating from EDS 5.3.1 to JBoss Data Virtualization 6.0 and running into some Teiid Designer 8.x/JBoss Developer Studio 7.1.1 Issues:

After cleaning and rebuilding the project I often see the following errors.
This appears to be because the .project file indicated that a 'Java Builder' should be used to build the project. Because of this a new 'bin' directory was created with a copy of all of the files. This caused JBoss Developer to think that there were duplicates.

I saw the following in the logs which indicated that the use of files in the bin directory was taking place:

!MESSAGE Unable to load the model at

file:/C:/Development/JbossWorkspace7/eds/bin/sources/ZoneSoap.xmi because it
appears to be the same as
file:/C:/Development/JbossWorkspace7/eds/sources/ZoneSoap.xmi
