Why .arc files generated on Red Hat Satellite server?

Issue

• The filesystem that has Oracle archive files got filled up. How to handle these files?
• Database backup is done by command: db-control backup [directory]
• Following are some of the files looks like these are Oracle DB archive files.

[root@satellite archive]# pwd
/rhnsat/admin/rhnsat/archive
[root@satellite archive]# ls -lt|more
