Why does `yum history list` shows EE in Altered Section if rpm package has echo statement in %posttrans scriptlet?

Issue

If the rpm package has any kind of echo statements in %posttrans scriptlet, and if installed using yum, yum history list shows EE in altered section.
Is it a bug or expected behaviour?
