After upgrading to Satellite Proxy 5.6 a wget for a file hosted on the satellite now returns 404 not found

Issue

  • With previous versions of satellite proxy, you could request a file which is located on the satellite server by requesting that file from the proxy itself. This would internally be redirected to the satellite server via squid in order to satisfy the request. The request now fails with 404 Not Found

  • Red Hat Satellite or Proxy 5.6
