'Advanced search' for packages on satellite web UI does not return locally installed (non RHN) packages

Issue

• yum list extras shows that one of systems has several packages installed that are not available through it's channels, one example is cpq_cciss.x86_64. If tried to check the list of installed packages of that system the package is properly displayed. However when searched an advanced search for this package by name on all systems the search returns "No results found." on satellite web UI.

• If performed the same search a package that is available in one of the channels of the satellite server the results appear to be correct. Even though this system does not have access to any of the channels the package is in (as shown by the yum list extras) the search results are correct.

• Is there a limitation in the advanced search that causes this?

• Is there any other way or API script to retrieve such packages?
