Why I only get one 'Call Trace:' even though hung_task_warnings has value 10?

Issue

  • The system is crashing after showing just one 'Call Trace:'
  • Below is configured in the system which supposed to print 10 hung messages
kernel.hung_task_panic = 1
kernel.hung_task_warnings = 10
  • Is it possible to get 10 call traces before crash the system?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
