/var/log/messages recieves the same messages over and over from the local dhcp client
Issue
/var/log/messages is filled with the following type of entry. Is there anyway to suppress it?

Nov 1 06:49:35 server1 dhclient: DHCPREQUEST on eth0 to 10.8.16.32 port 67
Nov 1 06:49:35 server1 dhclient: DHCPACK from 10.8.16.32
Nov 1 06:49:35 server1 dhclient: bound to 10.8.56.142 -- renewal in 1721 seconds.
