NMI on boot when initializing Broadcom BCM5704 with tg3 driver on RHEL 5.8

Issue

Trying to boot any 2.6.18-308 kernel so far produces:

Bringing up interface bond0 Uhhuh. NMI received from unknown reason 25.
Do you have a strange power saving mode enabled?
Dazed and confused, but trying to continue.
