Why do I get "Error: Missing Dependency: xen-libs" while running "yum update" on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5?

Issue

  • The yum update command fails with a dependency error on a virtualization package.
  • When  trying to update xen-libs.i386 0:3.0.3-105.el5_5.2 with yum, it get a dependency problem that it needs xen-libs = 3.0.3-105.el5. How do we fix it ?

  • While updating "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop 5" it falis with following error :

    Missing Dependency: xen-lib = 3.0.3-105.el5_5.4 is 
needed by package xen-3.0.3-105.el5_5.4.i386 (installed)
