Why are failures to start or live migrate a VM due to lack of resources not logged to the Events tab?

Issue

  • If a VM is requested to start in or live migrate to a host where there are insufficient resources to hold the VM, the live migrations fails and the corresponding error message is presented in webadmin portal or returned in the API call.

  • Administrators of the RHV environment can not currently know about these conditions since they are only reported to the requester or requestor.

  • Why are these errors not logged to the Events tab of RHV-M?
