Uploading and Applying CloudForms Management Engine Updates version 5.1 and below
This bulletin contains the following information for Red Hat CloudForms Management Engine (CFME) version 5.0 and 5.1.
- How to upload a CFME Server update.
- How to activate the update.
Place the fix pack file in a location that you can access from the computer where you are running the CFME Console. CFME Server updates must be activated for each server, allowing you to try a fix on one CFME Server before activating it on all of them. The Maintenance page in the CFME Console allows you to easily upload and remove updates to the CFME Server. Once uploaded, CFME automatically detects what files are being added and where they should reside.
To upload an update
- Click the wrench icon Settings & Operations.
- From Configuration, Settings, click Zones.
- Click the Zone where the CFME Server is located.
- Click on the CFME Server.
- Click Maintenance.
- Click Browse to go to the location where the Product Update file is located.
- Click Upload.
The update is loaded and processing begins. During processing, the files are loaded into their appropriate locations. It will take a few minutes for the updates to show in the Available CFME Product Updates area. You may need to refresh the browser window to see the update.
