How to troubleshoot network problem during installation of RHEL6.5 on LPAR systems?
Issue
- I want to install RHEL on lpar for evaluation on a
zEC12machine. - I can IPL the installation from disc and go through the dialog up until the point of entering the ip address and gateway. This is the point it says
could not reach default gateway.
- I'm pretty sure it's a network issue, but the network admin is asking to perform a
tracerouteto the gateway. - I don't see a
traceroutecommand as one of the shell commands. - Is there an equivalent command to traceroute available?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.5.
- system z LPAR.
