Is it possible to do health check using jsp in Apache EWS?

Issue

Is it possible for apache EWS to read the http output code of a healthcheck jsp page and take a particular node out of rotation?

For example, the health check jsp is a page that goes through different components in an application on a particular node and returns either an HTTP 200 ok or Http 500/502 error. Based on whether 200 or 5xx return code is received, I would like EWS to remove the node out of rotation dynamically.
