Installation of RHEL 6.5 on IBM x222 fails with panic in bfa_ioc_fwver_cmp+0x52/0x2f

Issue

It is not possible to install RHEL 6.5 on a IBM x222, which is certified since 6.4. A test installation of RHEL7 works, so we can rule HW out.

The installation constantly fails in bfa_ioc_fwver_cmp. Since they can currently only use the RSA console, we don't get the entire oops message. Customer is checking if they can attach a serial console.
