RHEV-M GUI does not show updated size of Direct LUN after resize

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The size of direct LUN assigned to RHEV hypervisors was increased from 500 GB to 800 GB form SAN/Storage side.

    After increasing the LUN size from SAN/Storage side, multipath devices on hypervisors were scanned using steps in Solution 65399 and multipath -ll command on hypervisor was showing mpath device size as 800 GB, but the RHEV-M GUI was still showing the size of LUN as 500 GB only.

  • This direct LUN was attached to couple of RHEL virtual machines and they were able to see the new size (800 GB) without any issue.

  • Is there any bug in RHEV-M GUI due to which the new size of direct LUN was not shown correctly event after successful rescan?
