Yum update returns no packages marked for update

Issue

  • The web-interface of the Red Hat Satellite Server reflected that some packages needed update.
  • When running yum update on any client, it returns:
Loaded plugins: product-id, rhnplugin, security, subscription-manager
This system is not registered to Red Hat Subscription Management. You can use subscription-manager to register.
This system is receiving updates from RHN Classic or RHN Satellite.
