RHEV : Snapshot remove fails with error 'Cannot merge Snapshot. Low disk space on relevant Storage Domain'

When clicked on snapshot delete button, Error 'Cannot merge Snapshot. Low disk space on relevant Storage Domain' appeared and the action failed.

Why 'snapshot merge' action is being initiated when I click on snpashot delete button?
