Unable to mount share through autofs in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

Issue

  • I am able to manually mount a CIFS share but the autofs doesn't work.
  • Unable to mount share through autofs but manual mounting works fine. Below are the autofs debug log:
 localhost automount[28649]: handle_packet: type = 3
 localhost automount[28649]: handle_packet_missing_indirect: token 649, name SHARE1, request pid 28702
 localhost automount[28649]: attempting to mount entry /media/SHARE1
 localhost automount[28649]: lookup_mount: lookup(program): looking up SHARE1
 localhost automount[28649]: lookup(program): lookup for SHARE1 failed
 localhost automount[28649]: dev_ioctl_send_fail: token = 649
 localhost automount[28649]: failed to mount /media/SHARE1
