When adding user in RHEVM webadmin portal from Active Directory user names with '#' prefix are not searchable.

Issue

  • We have our RHEV 3.3 installation tied to our Active Directory. When I go to add a user (in the Web Admin console under Configure, System Permissions, Add), any user name that starts with # is not found, even though it exists in AD and RHEV Manager has permissions in AD to look it up and view it. There seems to be something about the pound (#) character that causes RHEV to disregard the rest of the characters.
