EJB invocation without jboss-ejb-client.properties (EAP6)

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have some use cases where the same EJB Client (standalone JVM) must invoke similar Remote EJBs on well known hosts. The hosts must be configurable at runtime. With JBoss EAP 4 and 5 we could do a JNDI lookup on a dedicated instance by setting the host and port in the properties of the InitialContext and than call the EJB.

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
    • 6.x
