Is it possible to change min/max pool size of datasource in JBoss without restarting or reloading that datasource?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • How to change min/max pool size of datasource without restarting or reloading that datasource?
  • Hot increase datasource max-pool-size, Is there a way to increase a datasource max-pool-size without disabling the datasource ?
  • If we try to increase the datasource max-pool-size, the following message error appears:
The Data Source <datasource_Name> is still enabled. Please disabled it, to make changes to the configuration.

We can successfully hot increase the max-pool-size using JBoss 6.4.0GA but not in 6.0.1GA. Is possible to hot increase the datasource max-pool-size in JBoss EAP 6.0.1?

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
    • 6.x
  • min-pool-size and max-pool-size as defined in:
    • jboss-as-datasources_1_0.xsd
    • jboss-as-datasources_1_1.xsd
