JBoss Cache timeout exception reports "Lock held by [null]" when using the JTS transaction manager

Issue

  • A JBoss Cache call times out, but the log says the lock is held by null:

    org.jboss.cache.lock.TimeoutException: Unable to acquire lock on Fqn [/foo/bar] after [15000] milliseconds for requestor [GlobalTransaction:<10.1.2.3:12345>:123]! Lock held by [null]
