Segfault of in.telnetd ( Requesting Core Dump analysis ).

Issue

  • A segfault has been seen recently in in.telnetd on this system and 2 other systems with rhel 6.2.

[question]
Q1) why did telnet service receive signal=11 and why was it segfault?
Q2) Analyze coredump.
Q3) is it related to isc_ec_type(3rd party user process), which may cause telnet segfault?
