CUPS Error in RHEL: Unable to locate printer "pr123"
Issue
- In one of our production servers the printer is disabled suddenly. We are not able to enable the printer and are getting the message "
Unable to locate printer "testlaser"" -
The output of the
lpstatcommand shows the following status:printer testlaser disabled since Tue Aug 23 10:40:36 2016 - Unable to locate printer 'testlaser'!
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), all versions
- Common Unix Printing System (CUPS), all versions
