Does "virsh vol-clone" automatically trigger guest-fsfreeze-freeze if QEMU guest agent is configured?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

We want to clone our virtual disks before performing a software update. With RHEL 6.5 the QEMU guest virtual machine agent protocol is fully supported.

10.16.3. Creating a guest virtual machine disk backup [2] describes the process of how a snapshot request, or creating a backup copy of the disk is being done:

...the management stack (libvirt) sends a guest-fsfreeze-freeze QMP command to the QEMU GA via the virtio-serial port ...

Is the guest-fsfreeze-freeze being automatically triggered when using "virsh vol-clone"?
