Many VMs not responding or waiting for launch

Issue

  • RHEVM apperas to have communication problems with VMs - most are showing as status "Not Responding" or "Waiting for Launch".
  • Able to start a virtual desktop from the User Portal but very slow to come up and not as responsive as it should have been.
  • Restarting ovirt-engine doesn't seem help at all
  • One host is operating under a high load (shared memory 63%) seems to be well within an expected range.

Environment

  • Guest OS:

    • RHEL 6.x x64
    • kernel-2.6.32-431.3.1.el6

  • RHEV-M:

    • rhevm-3.2.5-0.49.el6ev.noarch

  • Spice-client:

    • Unknown yet. Probably it is the latest available on 3.2 (browser plugin)

  • Host:

    • RHEV Hypervisor - 6.5 - 20131204.0.3.2.el6_5
    • kernel: 2.6.32 - 431.1.2.el6.x86_64
    • libvirt-0.10.2-29.el6.1
    • qemu-kvm-rhev-0.12.1.2-2.415.el6_5.3.x86_64
    • spice-server-0.12.4-6.el6.x86_64
